FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. Winter only program starting in November and ending in early March (weather dependent) 
 
2. PRACTICES/GAMES are one hour long and usually held twice a week. One practice/game during the week (6:00pm, 7:00pm or 8:00pm) and one practice/game on Saturday (starts at 8:00am and ending at 8:00pm) 
 
3. ALL practices/games are held at Cedar Lane Elementary 
 
4. Basketball size is 28.5 
 
5. DYB is a co-ed league for children Kindergarten through 4th grade 
 
6. The league will provide a uniforms to be worn to every game. Tennis shoes must be worn at all times. A medal/trophy will be provided to each child with tournament winners receiving a championship trophy. 
 
7. 10 practices and 10 games games followed by a March Madness tournament. 
 
8. League rules are slowly enforced throughout the course of the season for which all VHSL basketball rules apply for the tournament 

9. There is NO DRAFT only evaluation sessions.  Teams are created as equal as possible based on the evaluations. Requests are considered on a case by case basis.
 
10. The league does keep track of scores throughout the year so there will be winners and losers.  DYB emphasizes a good sportsmanship atmosphere for which there is no tolerance for anything less.
